Alternative and extended stays:

Day 1. Santo Domingo – Samana

After breakfast our driver will take you for (an approximate) 2 hour drive to the North Coast.

Here you can check into one of the many small resort hotels in Las Terrenas.  Perhaps go to the beach for a rum cocktail and a late afternoon dip in the crystal clear water.

The Samana Peninsula is frequented by many Europeans from Italy, France and Germany, as well as Dominican families.  It is not like Boca Chica.  There is a small area of fine restaurants and a few night clubs, but there is much more Continental style and family oriented.

A couple of photos from Samana and a hotel

There are fabulous 5 star resorts as well as smaller boutique style properties to choose from.

Amongst other The Colibri offers apartments with a full kitchen and some have two bedrooms

Located directly across the street from the beach.  This is a good choice for a family that wants to do a little self cooking……

Day 2 to Day 5,6,7 etc. How many days do you have?

After breakfast, feel free to enjoy the beach, water sports, rent a catamaran – Hobie Cat type sail boat, jet ski

Kayak or similar.  Enjoy the beach, enjoy the local village life and have a great vacation.

You may wish to rent a car and drive across the North Shore to Cabaretta, the Kite Surfing capital.  This is another great seaside community, with more upscale bars and restaurants directly on the beach, similar to Boca Chica, but; in a higher standard.

At the end of your stay, our Destination Manager, Franchesca, will arrange transportation back to the airport for your departure……
